About Dave
Dave Benda is a former Regional Manager for TAFESA in the Riverland, South Australia. In this role, Dave managed four campuses and had the oversight of some 100 employees. As both a strategic and operational manager he was responsible for:
- Maintaining relationships with industry, government and community agencies
- Preparation of submissions and tenders
- Managing human resources
- Budget control
- Promoting OHSW as a core element to an organisation
- Upholding equal opportunity principles
- Researching and collating data
- Writing reports
- Facilitating and organising conferences and forums
- Hosting intra/interstate and overseas visitors
- Selection and induction of staff
- Encouraging the adoption of flexible strategies
- Managing significant change
- Ensuring the delivery of quality educational programs
In the community Dave is a committee member of Food Riverland, the current Chairperson of the Riverland Restaurant and Dining Awards and can sometimes be found cooking breakfast at the Farmers' Market. Dave is also the current President of the Riverland Hockey Association.
